Bloggers and Internet whores take hede, there is a new Search Engine in Town

OK, so the internet is a buzz with Anna Pattersons' new Creation Cuill. To be fair, I guess her husband was involved as well, seeing as he gets top billing on the who's who of the site.
So I took a quick look. The layout of Cuill is quite different, from the very basic search page to a very different non linear search results page, image is obviously a very large part of cuill marketing. This gets me wondering how they are going to do their sponsored ads.
I did a little experiment. There is a small text heavy site out there on security alarms. It is based out of Vancouver British Columbia and has a mass amount of information on security alarm systems in general and the owner is quite proud of the fact he does not pay for Search Engine Marketing. I played around with various search terms and found the term "hardwire security alarm vancouver" brought me NOTHING on Cuill. However, the same search on Google brought a page 1 hit. Odd considering the website mentions exactly those phrases dozens of time. Oddly enough though, keepsafesystems brings up a page 1 hit on cuill.
The long and short of it. I like the Cuill layout and am curious as to where it is going to go. For now though, the Cuill computers need a little shot of adreniline.
For those Internet whores out there, if you cannont find your site indexed on cuill.com you can send an Email to crawler@cuil.com and request addition.
Good Luck Anna

Rushmore Drive - Welcome to the new Search Engine
No, I'm not just sucking up... Although a nice cherry listing would be nice. Rushmoredrive.com is the new player in the search engine market. Claiming to have an edge over traditional search engines, Rushmore aims more at the content of the site. In addition, Rushmore partly bases its search engine results on click throughs. Hopefully they have some sort of fix for those who choose to promote their site by clicking through on the search results as oppposed to putting in good content.
Speaking of which, quality of content is also involved in Rushmore's ranking system.
For those wishing to submit their site to Rushmoredrive.com there is a submit option on the search result page
See more at http://www.rushmoredrive.com/
If you happen to find us there, please click though :P

Blogging for the Bucks - All these Ad Services, who do I choose?
Ahwile back when I started my trip down blogging lane I really didn't know much about it and to be quite honest, I was not expecting much.
At first I did what most do and used Google Adwords. Originally I used Google ads as a way of optimizing search stats for my own website. I figured, If I had Google ads on my site I would be placed higher in the search stats. Since this was only one of many things I did, the true effectiveness is unknown.
After seeing a few pennies show up here and there I decided to take google ads to a whole new level and I created my first couple of blogs. I did a little research and found some hot topics and started to blog away.
I noticed my hits were growing and all of a sudden I had reached the $100 mark and was expecting a cheque. Oh wait, stop right there. Google, in their infinite wisdom decided to ban me for in appropriate clicking activity. So I lost all my money due to their stupidity. I had the hits to prove legitimacy but they did not want to have anything to do with it. SCAMMERS!
I then did a little searching and found Bidvertiser. It seemed they had a better program which paid more for the clicks. Once again, screwed over and no money came my way.
Fed up, I decided to find an ad service which relied more on ad views than click throughs for income. I found Adbrite. What a relief!!! Aside from the odd spam ad, which is quickly removed by their exceptional tech support staff the ads are pretty and colourful. With an adult rated section for those nake celebrity pictures called "Black Label Ads" Adbrite won me over. Just recently, I received my first cheque. Only just under $14 for 2 months but I am now growing to about 2 bucks a day in Ad revenue. As my blogs grow, so does my income.
The long and short of it, forget Google and Bidvertizer.... Adbrite is the way to go.
